When I was writing No Accounting for Death, I searched high and low for suitable pictures of Southdown sheep which I could use on the cover- but to no avail!

I was overjoyed this afternoon when I visited the Lambeth Country Show (held every year in London’s Brockwell Park) and found a pavilion full of rare breeds of sheep, including these gorgeous Southdowns.

Well, it’s too late this time, although I could consider one of these pictures for a second edition.

By the way, there were other lovely animals there as well – owls and meerkats – as well as a Punch and Judy show and donkey rides.
