How many of us groaned when the alarm went off this morning and we woke to face another Monday and another week doing battle with public transport to get to work? And how many of us woke up just happy that we were still here to spend another day with our children, family and friends?
Breast Cancer Awareness Month will end on Saturday, but there are only forty eight hours left to sign a petition in support of lowering the price of the drug Kadcyla. Kadcyla is prescribed to some women with incurable secondary breast cancer and it has a proven track record of extending their lives, thus enabling them to see more of their children growing up and to spend more time with their family and loved ones. But, because of its cost, Kadcyla will no longer be available to new patients in the UK from November.
That’s why it’s important to act now.
So, please, please sign this petition asking drug company Roche to lower the price of Kadcyla so that the women who need it will continue to have access to it.
